After working and teaching around the world, the Alliance for International Medicine (EAAMI) came together based upon the shared observations and experiences of Drs. Richards and Rhondeau. They learned firsthand that providing medical care to underserved communities was most effective when they provided sustainable training and equipment while working alongside their global peers.

Their approach has evolved over time and includes extensive online training programs, provision of surgical, ultrasound, and anesthesia equipment, live training with teams of nationally and internationally recognized experts and, most recently, the creation of virtual reality simulator centers around the globe.
